My name is Emily and I am the creative behind Narcissa Designs. The brand was formed from a love of craft, design, and a coastal aesthetic - and maybe a bit of creative boredom while working my 9-5! The namesake of Narcissa Designs is a family name - Narcissa, which is my mom’s middle name, great grandmothers name, the list goes on. I come from a long line of creative women so it only felt fitting to bring this name into my own identity. It’s also the latin name for daffodil, one of my favorite flowers!

I have always had a love for all things arts and crafts — I took a detour to pursue a marketing undergrad with the idea that ‘art can’t make a living’ (still not untrue) but my love the artistic pursuit always weaseled it’s way back into my life. After working in NYC at an agency and finding myself on the graphic design team, I decided to pursue a Masters in graphic design and focus in on what I am actually passionate about. Since then, in between jobs and classes I have been building Narcissa Designs! What started as design favors for friends has turned into a small business where I can exercise my creative talent in my very favorite ways. I hope you find some joy from my work and maybe I’m the right fit for a design project or future commission :)
